Geneviève Girot works with acrylics, water colour and egg tempera. Her work shows an intense joy of colours, often in a universe of pixels and mosaics resembling coding or satellite views.
Some of her paintings evoke landscapes or villages, often demonstrating a heightened solar sensuality towards the southern countryside, and vivid colours saturate the mosaic like shapes.
Depth is created where images become hollow or light up in a perspective. This third dimension is acquired in an offset planarity.
Girot has a Diplôme National d’Arts et Techniques from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts Orléans. Her works have been exhibited in France and Spain.
