About:

Moksananda, a British artist and image creator, resides on the outskirts of Valencia, Spain. Largely self-taught, his artistic journey includes studying drawing at the Gaia Art Academy in Valencia and painting under the guidance of Barry John Raybould at the Virtual Art Academy. Additionally, he studied filmmaking with the New York-based Lights Film School.
His has had solo exhibitions in both Barcelona and Valencia, in addition to numerous group exhibitions across the country. In 2021, Moksananda had the privilege of studying under the esteemed American Abstract Expressionist painter, Ty Nathan Clark, and achieved recognition as a finalist in the prestigious XXXV Sanvisens painting prize exhibition in Sitges, Spain. His work has been featured in various publications, online platforms, and also graces the covers of books.
In 1985, he took his vows into the Triratna Buddhist Order, later founding the Valencia Buddhist Centre in Spain. For over three decades, he dedicated himself to extensive work and travel throughout the Hispanic world, imparting Buddhist teachings and supporting others on their spiritual journeys while deepening his own practice and understanding.
Now fully immersed in the realm of painting and image creation, Moksananda’s life as a meditator and devoted Buddhist infuses his artistic creations. His paintings have found a cherished place in a growing number of private collections spanning Spain, Mexico, the UK, Cyprus, Holland, Austria, and Australia.
