Kesin’s Eyes Between Worlds brings together works spanning several interconnected series — Future Relics, Echo, and Domestic, all revolving around Anima with its larger-scale works — alongside a group of ceramic pieces. Across these bodies of work, Kesín explores shifting relationships between humans and animals.
Through layered abstraction, symbolic forms, ceramics, and stylised portraits, the works move between figuration and abstraction, history and speculation. Some evoke fragments of our world remembered from a future vantage point; others recall vanished species, domesticated companions, or ancient deities.
A new video work, also titled Future Relics, assembles fragments of a repeated transmission from the future — partial signals that surfaced over time and became the imagined source for the earlier paintings.
Anima seeks an abstract language to imagine how animals might perceive us and the confined worlds we create for them.
Taken together, the works do not resolve into harmony; instead, they circle around tension, asymmetry, and shifting perspectives.
