Zeina Nader – Home in Brushstrokes
To paint the landscapes of her country from an artist’s perspective, infused with the abstract emotions of her love for a land that has endured so much, yet has always risen again with dignity and strength, is to unveil all the wounds of the artist’s life and to imbue them with the hope of her colours.
“This homeland, which radiates nothing but beauty despite all the assaults on its peace, serves as a profound message of love and resilience to the world. Its tranquil landscapes, the blue of its sky and the green of its nature, the sea and the foam, the mountains where magnificent red-roofed houses nestle, the herds of sheep and the trees, the fauna and flora – all of these are painted with the fervor of their brush. Within their simple and serene vision lies the strength of this sacred land.”
The international award winning artist Zeina Nader was born in Lebanon. She graduated from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut with a degree in Communication Arts.Instead of pursuing her promising career in the fields of theatre, cinema and photography, she chose to adopt her initial love and passion: painting and writing.
